So many keys, so many years...

The year 2006 marked the  50th anniversary of when I began music lessons on piano.  My first teacher was a Miss Lynch in our small town in northern Minnesota, who was also my mother's first teacher.  After a short time with Miss Lynch I switched over to lessons with Mom who had about 60 piano students of her own.

A recording studio can define its assets in many different ways.  At Euphonic Studio, keyboards are very high on the list because of the doors they open.  Having both a world class piano and organ allows me to record legitimate repertoire in a way that synthesizers can only simulate.  Why do you never see a synthesized piano on classical recordings or concert stage?  It's not because of some technophobic, purist nonsense.  It's because piano playing is an art practiced on a piano, and handing a synthesizer to a pianist is somewhat like giving an Etch-A-Sketch to an artist.

To the left you'll find some links to pages with information about my keyboard instruments.  I have put the Mason & Hamlin and Hammond A-100 on their own pages because they deserve a page.  I've also included a page of electronic keyboards I used during my career as a professional musician, teacher, and salesman.  Take a trip down "Memory Lane".
